Corporate/Business
Law
A corporation
or business has a life all it's own. Legal concerns which have to
be addressed in a business setting are many, are often complicated,
are often intertwined and; very often, require a lawyers assistance.
The range of laws covered in a corporation or business include the
business relationship or structure -- whether to incorporate, operate
as a partnership, a joint enterprise, a limited liability company
or, simply as a small business. Businesses often need to expand and
this involves entering into contracts, whether for employees, purchase
of assets or equipment, sale of goods, or even non-complete agreements.
More often than not legal assistance is needed to address a business'
concerns. The employer is subject to these laws especially: Federal
and State Labor Laws, OSHA regulations, State and Federal Tax Laws,
Interstate and Intrastate Commerce laws, the Uniform Commercial Code,
Workers Compensation Statutes, State and Federal Human Rights and
Civil Rights and Equal Employment Laws. These are only listed as an
example, many more exist and apply in the business world. Gregory
